- Following are the steps for Registering as a Student.
|
- Click on the Signup button in the top menu bar of "www.phatmath.com"
- Select "user type" as Student.
- Fillup the Registration Form, Read the "Code of Ethics",Check the box to show that you have read the "Code of Ethics", and Submit the Registration Form.
- Click on Home button in the header of www.phatmath.com and login using your username and password you provided at the time of regisration.
- Once you are logged in you are on your home page.
- Student registration is absolutely FREE!
- As a registered student you will have 24 x 7 access to "Math Chat" Rooms - where you may get help solving your math homework problems. You will also have 24 x 7 access to "Blog" - where you will find information regarding Topics of General Interests.
- Please carefully read "Code Of Ethics" on the Registration to ensure that your conduct on www.phatmath.com is according to it.

- Following are the steps for Registering as Parents or other Relatives, etc.
|
- Click on the Signup button in the header of www.phatmath.com.
- Select user type as Parents and Others.
- Fillup the Registration Form, read the "Code of Ethics", check the box to show that you have read the Code of Ethics", and click on Continue.
- You will be redirected to paypal.com. Registration fee for parents and others is $25 and the validity of account is for 1 year. After one year you can renew your membership.
- Once you make payment on the paypal website you will be taken to the "Thank You Page" on the Paypal website.
- Please click on the "Return To Phatmath, Inc." button.
- You will be taken to the Registration Success page on www.phatmath.com and you will get transaction identification (id) for your paypal transaction. Please keep this transaction id with you for future reference.
- Click on the "Click here to login" link on the Registration Success page. You will then be redirected to the login page on www.phatmath.com. Login using the username and password provided by you at the time of registration.
- Once Logged in you are on your home page.

- To Register as a Teacher or Administrator please go through the following Steps.

- Click on the Signup button in the header of www.phatmath.com.
- Select the user type as Teachers and Administrators.

- To use the math chat rooms go through the following steps.

- Click on home button in the header of www.phatmath.com
- Login using your user name and password.
- Once you are logged on you are on your home page.
- Click on the "Math Chat" button in the header of www.phatmath.com.
- Once you click on the "Math Chat" button then you can post your own Math problem or reply to an existing Math problem.
- You can see all your posts by clicking on the link View My Thread.
- You can post your own Math problem by clicking on the New Thread link.
- You can reply to existing problems by clicking on problem titles.
- While posting a problem or replying to an existing thread you can upload problem/solution images.

- To use the blog go through the following steps.
|
- Click on the Home button in the header of www.phatmath.com
- Login using your user name and password.
- Once you are logged in you are on your home page.
- Click on the Blog button in the top menu bar.
- A Table displaying Blog Title, Date and Posts will be displayed.
- Please click on the Blog Title link under which you wish to read the "Posts".
- When you click on a Blog title you will be taken to a page which will display the "Posts" already added under the selected blog.
- To read a "Post" please click on the "Read More" link under that Post.
- On the resulting page you can read the Post and comments added.

- To add the post in existing blog go through the following steps. |
- To add a New "post" in an existing blog click on the link "Manage Blogs" in the left hand side of the home page (After you are Logged in).
- On the resulting page a table with Blog Name, Post and Comment is displayed. Please click on the "Post" link displayed beside the blog name in which you wish to add your "Post".
- On the resulting page you will see a link "New Post" on the left hand side menu. Please click on this link. Please enter Post Title, Synopsis and Text for Post body in the respective areas and submit the form.
- Once these steps are completed your Post will get added in the selected blog.

- To update the post you have added go through the following steps. |
- Login.
- You can Update/Edit or make the posts Active/Inactive. You can make these changes only to those Posts which you have added. To make changes in your post please follow these steps:
- Click on the "Manage Blog" link on the left hand side menu on your user home page.
- On the resulting "Manage Blog" page a table with Blog name, Post and Comment are displayed.
- Please Click on the "Post" link displayed beside the blog name under which you wish to edit the post.
- On the resulting page the Posts which you have added will be displayed. Please click on the "edit" link beside the name of the post.
- The resulting page will show the Post title, Synopsis and post content. Here you can make changes to the post name, synopsis and content.
- Once you complete making changes click on the "post" button to save the updated content.
- To make the post Inactive please follow these steps:
- Click on the Manage Blog link on your User home page.
- The resulting page will display a table with Blog name, Post and Comments.
- Please click on the "Post" link displayed beside the Blog Name.
- On the resulting page please click on the "Edit" link displayed beside the Post Name which you wish to make inactive.
- On the resulting page below the Post content area you will find a check box named "Published" - by default it is checked. If you uncheck it and click on the "Post" button the Post will become "Inactive" and will not be displayed on user interface.

To add comment in existing Blog go through following steps. |
- The user must be logged in.
- Please click on "Blog" button in the Top menu bar.
- On the resulting page you will be shown a table showing the link "Blog Title", "Date" and "Posts"
- Please click on Blog Title for example "Tips For Learning Multiplication Table"
- You will be taken to a new page showing Name(s) of the Post, Read More link for each Post and Comments link.
- If there are two posts in the selected blog the rows described above will be shown for each of the post one below other.
- Please click on "Read More" Or "Comment" link for the "Post" for which you want to add "Comment"
- The resulting page will show the full content of the "Post" followed by comment(s) posted by other Users and an area to Add Comment.
- Please Write the comment in the specified area and hit "Submit" button.
- The comment will be added.

To delete the comment you have posted go through following steps.
|
- A user can Delete the comments he/she has added.
- Login.
- Please click Manage Blog link on the left hand side menu.
- On the resulting page please click on the "Comment" link displayed beside the Blog Name under which you wish to delete a Comment.
- On the next page the Posts under this blog for which you have added the comment will be displayed.
- Please click on "Comment" or "Read More" link.
- On the Resulting page you will see the Post details followed by the "Comment" you have added. Beside the Comment Name you will find a link "Delete Comment". If you click on this link the comment will get deleted.

- To increase Buddy Score go through following steps.
|
- In the "Math Chat" Rooms you may find several unsolved Math problems.If you know the solution to any problems then you can post a solution. If the user (the person who posted the problem) thinks that your answer is correct and you helped him/her to find the correct solution then he/she gives points for your answer and thus your Buddy Score is increased.

- To rate the answer go through the following steps. |
- Log in.
- Please click on "Math Chat" button on the top menu.
- Click on "View My Thread" link.
- On the Resulting page you will see the Subject of the Problem "You" have uploaded, Number of Replies you have received for that Problem, Date of Problem Posting, Date Of Last Reply and Edit link.
- Please click on the link under Subject Of Problem for example: "Algebraic Expression"
- On the resulting page you will find the details of the problem followed by the replies it has received.
- For each of the reply on the right hand bottom corner you will find "Rate this solution 1 2 3 4 5"
- The numbers represent the Rating you wish to give for an Answer. For example you are totally happy with the answer and you wish to give full credit to the user who has provided the answer you may click on number 5.
- Please think carefully and click on the number (1,2,3,4,5).
- This will increase the Math Buddy score of the person who has provided the answer by the same marks as you have clicked.
- On the same page below Problem Title row you will find a Drop down box and "Update Status" button beside it.
- The Drop down list contains the status for the Problem as "Open", "Urgent" or "Solved".
- By default when the problem is uploaded the status is "Open". You can change the Status for the Problem by selecting a value from the drop down box and clicking on the Update Status Button.

- Invited Score |
- If you invite your friends to phatmath.com and if they join phatmath.com through the link in your "invite email" then your invited score is increased by 5 points.

- To update the problem you have uploaded go through the following steps. |
- Log in.
- Please click on "Math Chat" button on the top menu.
- Click on "View My Thread" link.
- On the resulting page you will see the Subject of the Problem "You" have uploaded, Number of Replies you have received for that Problem, Date of Problem Posting, Date Of Last Reply and Edit link.
- Please click on "Edit" link beside the Problem, which you wish to edit.
- On the next page you will find the Edit Problem form with the existing content of the Problem.
- On this form you can edit the Title, Content, Status, Upload image,Select Chat room.
- Please click on "Update" button.
- The Post will get Updated.

- Report Abuse

- If you find any post as abusive you can bring it to the notice of the site administrator by using the "Report Abuse" functionality.
- Please click on the "Report Abuse" link for the Post you find abusive.
- Fill up the form and Submit it.
